So, seeing as I was away from the blogging world for a little while, I thought I’d best update you on what I’ve been loving.
Rimmel 25h Foundation- 100 ivory
I’m almost certain that I’ve featured this foundation in a favourites before, but I just love it. It’s medium coverage, buildable, lasts all day on me, doesn’t cling to dry patches, and doesn’t break down if I get oily. There are two cons to this foundation. Firstly, it oxidises, although not terribly. Secondly, there is a typical drugstore shade range. Meaning I can just get away with the lightest shade (and I don’t think I’m THAT pale), and anyone past a medium skin tone isn’t going to be able to find it in their shade. Drugstore companies need to step up their game, we don’t all have medium skin. But, if you can find a shade that matches you then go for it! (and go one shade lighter if you can). It really is an incredible foundation, I just get very frustrated that a lot of people won’t be able to use it.
No 7 Instant Radiance Highlighter
Ok, so I actually hate this as a highlighter. I don’t find it glowy enough for me and it disrupts my foundation underneath. But this was expensive, so I was going to make it work, and I have. So, the way I’m using this is almost as a primer. I have dry skin, and foundations can tend to look a little dull on me. So, I pop a few streaks of this all over my face, blend it out a little and I love how it makes my foundation look on top. It just makes me look so much healthier. I’ve been doing this everyday since I thought to try it, and now I’m going to run out of it soon, and I don’t want to have to repurchase it (but I almost certainly will).
Milani Baked Blush- Luminoso
Almost certain I’ve talked about this before but this is just my go to blush when I don’t know what blush to wear. I’ve been stepping out of my comfort zone with my eyeshadow a lot recently, and this just matches everything. Won’t speak about it too much, because everyone on the internet has already said how great it is.
Barry M Cor Balmy- Trouble and Strife
I can’t even really explain this one, I just can’t stop using it. It’s a hydrating balm, with a little tint. It’s nothing life changing, and I have a lot of balms like it but I just keep reaching for this one. It’s a little more sheer than a lot of my other balms, so I can go for it on a no makeup day, and the colour is a little different to others I own. This one is an orange/red shade, which I don’t have many of in balm form. Can’t stop using it, love it.
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow
Argh, this pains me because IT’S SO EXPENSIVE. I got given this for my 18th birthday, and so have had it now for almost 2 years. The powders are incredibly smooth and just the perfect shades for me. The highlight isn’t a crazy intense one, and it just sits so nicely. I always forget about this, because I save it for special occasions, but recently have just been ploughing through it. I never want to run out because I will absolutely NOT repurchase. To me, no palette is worth this much money. But, it really is incredible and I’ve been using it so much that I’m afraid I might hit pan soon. It just looks so natural and gorgeous. If you have the money to spend, then go for it, but I don’t have the money to spend on it if I ever use it up.
BH Cosmetics Shaaanxo Eyeshadow and Lipstick Palette
Can you tell how much I like this? I got it for Christmas, and have already hit pan on one shade. It’s just perfect for travel, and has everything I could need all in one place. It has warm matte crease shades, a black, a cream and loads of fun pops of colour. If I ever want a more neutral crease shade, I always have a bronzer to hand so the lack of matte brown in this palette doesn’t bother me at all. It’s the kind of palette that can be used to create endless looks, and I’m just not bored of it yet. The very dark brown/black shade isn’t as pigmented as the others, but definitely isn’t bad, and it blends well and builds nicely. That may be something to consider if you’re interested in the palette, but doesn’t bother me.
In terms of the lipsticks, the formula is super creamy. They don’t last all day (as creamy lipsticks don’t) but I have super dry skin and chapped lips so I much prefer this formula to a matte one. Again, all shades are covered. There is a red, a berry, a couple of nudes, pinks, and a coral. What more do you need? I use it a lot if I come home from uni for the weekend because it just has everything in it, and is amazing quality. I think that this palette is incredible value for money (I got mine on beautybay for £18), and Shannon and BH cosmetics did an amazing job on this one.
And that’s all of the products I can’t get enough of recently, hope you enjoyed! What have your favourite products been recently? Let me know in the comments!
